The Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner is a civilian body of the provincial legislature that initiates and oversees investigations into municipal police force misconduct in B.C., which are usually conducted by other police. Unlike the Independent Investigations Office of BC, which investigates police-caused death or serious harm, the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner does not have the power to conduct its own investigations. The commissioner’s office informed The Tyee it would not provide information about the case beyond what was included in its report summary. But it did inform us the file date of 2023 could indicate either when the complaint was made or when its investigation began. The Vancouver Police Department must be more transparent about the incident, said the BC Civil Liberties Association’s McDermott. The BCCLA has advocated against police in schools and has written a pamphlet for students about their rights when dealing with police.

Canada adds neo-Nazi groups Blood & Honour, Combat 18 to list of terror organizations he government has, for the first time, placed right-wing extremist groups on its list of outlawed terrorist organizations, adding the names of Blood & Honour and Combat 18. Announced in the government’s Canada Gazette, the action came after the Canadian Security Intelligence Service said in a report on Friday it had increased its “posture” on the far right. Blood & Honour was described by the government as “an international neo-Nazi network whose ideology is derived from the National Socialist doctrine of Nazi Germany.” Combat 18 is the armed branch of Blood & Honour and has conducted murders and bombings, the government said in the description of the group on the Public Safety Canada website. Blood & Honour (B&H) Also known as N/A Description Blood & Honour (B&H) is an international neo-Nazi network whose ideology is derived from the National Socialist doctrine of Nazi Germany. Through their armed branch, Combat 18 (C18), the group has carried out violent actions, including murders and bombings. B&H was founded in the United Kingdom in 1987 and grew during the 1990s, establishing branches throughout Europe by the end of the decade. B&H attacks have occurred in North America and in several EU-member states. In January 2012, four B&H members in Tampa, Florida, were convicted of the 1998 murder of two homeless men who were killed because the group considered them “inferior.” In February 2012, members of B&H and C18 firebombed a building occupied mostly by Romani families. B&H has continued to engage in terrorist activities, including events promoting Nazi symbolism and organizing concerts as a means to mobilize people. But that's the thing; he's claiming science when at best, it's pseudoscience being catered towards a moral panic to spread his hate and division further. If someone you know is a big-time Peterson defender, it can be hard to challenge some of their talking points without deep-diving into this guy's problematic history. So, here are some examples of the indefensible and outrageous things Jordan has said, believes in, and supports. His solution to incel violence is "enforced monogamy" Jordan Peterson endorses the idea that some men are purposely denied sex by women and that conventionally attractive men are 'taking all the sex' from other 'deserving' men. As a result, he suggests that by assigning women to men and pressuring them to 'settle' and have sex with isolated men, they wouldn't be so "angry at God" and commit acts of mass violence and murder. This, as well as criticizing birth control and saying that women would be happier if they just "allow themselves to be transformed by nature into mothers," is dangerous rhetoric that reinforces patriarchal violence against women.eg bullet
