Prevention Point's warming center resumes tomorrow, 2/12 at 9pm and will remain open through Fri, 6am. We will then REOPEN on Fri, 2/13 at 9pm and close on Sat at 6am. PPP is committed to getting people off the frozen streets and into a warm, calm, safe space to sleep during extreme temperatures.

PPP is opening as a warming center TONIGHT 2/6 at 9pm and will remain open thru Sun, 2/8 at am. We will then REOPEN on Sun at 9pm until Mon, 6am.
When we reach max capacity, we connect people to another nearby warming center that has space. No one should be left to freeze on the streets.

PPP is extending our warming center starting TONIGHT. We'll be open every night this week 9pm-6am thru Sunday morn to people who would otherwise suffer on the frozen streets.

To spotlight the impact of HIV on Black communities, PPP is hosting a free HIV testing event on Fri, Feb 6 at 12pm in honor of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, which is on Feb 7. Anyone who takes an HIV test at PPP on Feb 6 will receive a $10 McDonald’s gift card. All are welcome to join!

PPP is open tomorrow on Monday as a warming center. Clinics will be on pause, as all staff at the main building will pitch in to keep our space warm, welcoming & safe. We'll try to be open during our normal hours 9am-4pm, but ask for a bit of grace as we don't know what the roads will look like.

Due to the expected winter storm and life-threatening temperatures, PPP's emergency warming center will continue starting tomorrow, Saturday, at 9 p.m. We will be open overnight until Sunday, February 1, at 6 a.m. No one should freeze to death on the streets of our city.

Prevention Point Philadelphia is coming to West Philly! Starting Jan 14, Wellness on Wheels is at 60th & Market every Wed, 12-4pm. If you use drugs and are looking for help, come by to meet with a physician, case manager or CRS. PPP + @dbhids.bsky.social provide a wide variety of services-see below!

On Dec. 17, PPP hosted a Warm Hearts Winter Feast in our Love Lot. In total we served over 300 meals. Thanks to our Drop-In and Prevention Services teams as well as our partners at Socks For The Streets for providing a warm meal and holiday love to our community!

Thanks to the PPP staff and volunteers who participated in the fall homeless count in Kensington last night! The team was out past 2:30 a.m. in an effort to observe how many people are currently experiencing homelessness in the neighborhood.

Hoping these good folks have an early bedtime tonight!

On Wednesday, November 19, PPP will host our annual Friendsgiving lunch! All guests 18+ are welcome to join us in the Love Lot for a delicious warm meal, great music, and the chance to enjoy the spirit of community. We will open at noon and serve until the food runs out! Hope to see you there.

The smiles say it all! Our Back-to-School Giveaway this weekend was a huge success!
Thanks to our amazing community, we equipped so many kids with backpacks, composition notebooks, folders, crayons, pencils, and more! We loved seeing everyone enjoy the face painting, games, and community fun!
