When I first moved to Los Angeles in 2010 I was in Culver City. There was a "KFC" that looked so shady. Turns out it was a "Kind For Cures" dispensary inside of a former a KFC. My little South Carolinian mind was blown. Shortly after that, South Park included it in an episode.
