i saw an argus monitor at the reptile store in burbank once, one of the most beautiful lizards i ever did see. rly looks like a raptor. it was a young one so was medium-sized, felt bad for whatever unsuspecting parents bought him for their teenage son or something.

i drew the lizard kind of dopey but i decided that he's evil (not truly just filled with resentment towards his owner). He's similar to pen pen from evangelion in that he just walks around in Loi's apartment on two legs freaking everyone out. he tries to eat all his food.

mission hill is also just about a younger brother moving in with his struggling cartoonist older brother & his roommates. still trying to give myself permission to make a "normal" story. I suppose it just feels too much like looking in a mirror, you can't see what other people see in you.

14 yr old Jen actually has a separate design that i don't draw too often. she can be spotted in the master sprite sheet, too (still a wip)

i love having my own series and being able to say "there are no canon ages" in an era where everyone is annoyingly obsessed with fictional character ages. i dont say that to wiggle out of anything its gen how i think about it it's just vibes. if they had solid ages i'd have to keep track of the

you know actually once i have the primer/introductory stuff done im not sure where i go from there as far as... making update progress. i will figure it out. im mainly doing this so i stop looking crazy always talking about characters that don't exist to everyone.

my past propensity to not finish things will work in my favor go back and "correct" the old iogw art lol. sad for the finished stuff i liked that will never see the light of day again though. i will simply have to draw it again...

sometimes when i look at some of my old human drawings i feel like they're stronger than ones i make now as far as overall forms i need to go out and draw people in cafes, on buses, and go to figure drawings like i used to
