This sneaky bird knows exactly what he's doing and I love it.

Plus, we had a huge build up about how Charlie was worried to not reach him and then to know he would be at Vox’s party + another one about how Luci was worried to have her being mad at him. So from a storytelling perspective it was expected to get at least a little bit of a payoff for these two.

I think it was definitely a good decision to take the show in the way they did instead of staying episodic.

I like the comedy in the show but the drama and closer look into their lives definitely pulled me in more.
