I don't know if it was the utter silence for most of it or what, but this was the first video game I ever played as a kid and almost turned me off the whole thing. Freaked me right out at 5 years old

(The following year I played Zelda 1 and Mario 2, the rest is history 😂)

At least on Windows 11, there's a much easier solution to this! Go to your Sound Settings, select the Dualsense, which will take you to its Properties. Under General click 'Don't allow' for audio. Will permanently remove it from the list and can also be done for input. Example using my speakers:

Finished Avowed today, a stellar game that has a wide range of excellent dialogue choices available, such as this very direct response (other choices blocked out to avoid possible spoilers).

Highly recommended if you enjoy stuff like the Elder Scrolls games but wish they were a bit more focused!
