Passions...Running, Rock music, Pompey FC.All posts are my own with an added sprinkling of sarcasm, cynicism and tomfoolery.
The flip side of not over extending ourselves and spending millions. JM on Devlin “going nowhere” as quoted in the News. 👍🏻

Blimey that X place has a huge amount of #Pompey negativity doesn’t it!? 😂 a lot of angry people needing a does of realism and probably mental therapy! 😂

Delighted to see #Pompey come out with the same intensity as the Southampton game but this time with maybe a bit more belief and definitely more quality in the final 3rd. The 2 new signings have made a massive and instant impact. Exactly what we needed. 👍🏻

Can watch the Adams #Pompey goal celebration all day. Reminds me of Matt Taylor away at Wigan when we stayed up. Sprint the lengths of the pitch to share it with the fans. He’s already one of us!! 👏🏻🙌🏻🫡

Decimated by injuries and no recognised CB on the pitch for the last 20mins. But #Pompey gave us sheer determination and effort. The equaliser epitomised that spirit. Fantastic. We have hope.

Great point for #Pompey considering the absolute bits and pieces of a team we could put out tonight 👍🏻

3 years ago today #Pompey appointed John Mousinho as head coach

Have to tip your hat to those who had the courage to make this brave and ultimately outstanding decision

It’s why we go to football right? For those brief and rare moments of pure unadulterated ecstasy. For 30 seconds I completely lost my head. And it was fantastic. #Pompey

Huff and puff against Bristol City. #Pompey just not good enough, big enough or strong enough. Unless we get 3 or 4 who can affect the first team immediately this isn’t going to end well.

My god I’ve never been so cold and wet as I was yesterday at #Pompey but what a performance and what a couple of absolute worldie goals. Players coming back. We have hope!!! 😉 🙏🏻

Mousinho is spot on with his assessment too. Killip is not the reason for the defeat. There were some truly awful outfield performances on Saturday. Abysmal.

It’s 34 years since this magical moment.

David Seaman goes for a little stroll in the sunshine at Highbury, and Lee Dixon has an absolute fucking stinker...

Those pesky #Pompey owners showing no ambition by refusing millions and keeping Josh Murphy and bringing in Conor Chaplin (amongst others). Fly the plane!!! 😘

Sneaked in the home end with my Oxford buddy…Not a #Pompey classic but we took one of our 3 really good chances! Importantly stayed solid at the back. A fit Murphy would have made a massive difference too. PUP!

It’s 41 years since Diego Maradona caused a riot during the Copa Del Rey final - by straightening out Bilbao’s Miguel Sola.

Keep thinking of that sliding doors moment when #Pompey are 2-1 down at home to Derby and a cramped up virtually standing Atkinson nods in a sublime 93rd min equaliser….what a player he’s been for us since Jan and a huge reason why we’ve stayed up.

Superb achievement from #Pompey today. The culmination of so much effort and application. Crucially the fans always stayed onside even with the hammerings. When the team and fans stick and work together it’s a potent combo - onwards and upwards!

YES YES YES……!!!!! #Pompey

Have to say I thought Poole was absolutely outstanding yesterday just pipping Ogilvie for me for MoTM. Great to see #Pompey wise up to seeing out games like that. Such an important win for morale as much as points on the board. Onwards and hopefully upwards.

A week is a long time in football. 10 points clear and beating Leeds this time last week. Now 4 points clear and confidence drained…the international break might actually come at a good time for #Pompey
March 16, 2025 at 7:58 AM
#Pompey flummoxed by a team that sat back and wanted to hit us on the break. You couldn’t choose a worst time to concede goals either… 😩 and let’s be honest we ALL knew this was coming.

Portsmouth tried to leave Fratton Park during the mad, manic money years before everything fell apart. Now they would never want to play anywhere else.
