hopefully it picks up 😔 i do have a bit of survivors guilt, because AI cant do 3D stuff well yet, there is still a demand for human 3d "artists", and most furries always have a bit more of a value for human made stuff too bc half the point is self expression

yeahhh it sucks, social media doesnt really care about variety or really even skill, they just want content - im in a lucky position with my freelance where i dont need to do well on social media to get orders - but if i ever wanna branch out or get any eyes on my game projects im fucked

YEP lol every time i post a commission ive done and its like a woman with big bazongas I get a few followers then theres a time limit b4 they realise "oh wait he doesnt exclusively make furries with big boobs - unfollow!"

yeahhh a lot of the current popular 3d modellers either make all of their characters on a base so all they do is textures (like violixv etc) or just animate the same characters, ive seen animators who make 1-2 characters and have been animating them for over a year without anything new being made

be glad you're not doing 3d stuff at least, it takes me 2-3 weeks to make one model, 1 week if i was somehow not busy, so i feel that

instead of hating on other ppls success I'm going to try make it happen for me, ik its probably kinda annoying for me to be posting about this so much, but its good to be transparent as an artist - esp on social media where some artists act as if theyre well oiled machines who dont struggle

I didn't want to keep those posts on my account because I dont agree with them, but at the same time I dont wanna ignore that I said some shit abt the bunlith show being kickstarted - purely me being jealous that it didnt happen to me / that my bigger projects havent gotten anywhere, yadda yadda

she didnt invent low poly artstyles, and also didnt start the modern resurgence in low poly/ps1 aesthetics

cheaper stuff definitely is a good marketing strategy sometimes, cheaper stuff gets more sales and if you get enough it kinda outweighs the money you lose by charging less, I imagine
