I do think the campaign is partly motivated so the internet can be deregulated and abused by corporations further, ie, if the kids shouldn't be allowed here in the first place, who cares if we're exploiting and abusing people, kids won't be harmed, right?

I grew up on the internet and know how much online communities can help when you're queer and raised in a conservative environment lol, isolating me to conservative environments when I had supportive communities online could've killed me

social media has problems that need fixing and regulation but banning minors from social media is deranged, and is also known to hurt marginalised people the most while isolating minors to potentially even worse environments

5/ The SDF is unlikely to accept any proposal that requires Kurdish fighters to join the Syrian army as individuals, which decreases the likelihood that the SDF will integrate into the state by the end of the year under terms acceptable to the Syrian and Turkish governments.

3/ The United Arab Emirates (UAE)-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), which is part of the Yemeni government, intends to establish an independent state in southern Yemen. Saudi Arabia and at least some Yemeni groups not backed by the UAE have criticized the STC offensive.
