It was raining on-and-off when I visited, and the mist rising off the mountains behind the shrine gave a kind of magical "Mushishi" vibe.
Okuninushi no Okami and the other kami enshrined there have a feeling of great love.

Izumo Oyashiro, Shimane Prefecture
One of the most important shrines in Japan, enshrining Okuninushi no Okami. He is sometimes considered to be the most important of the "kunitsukami", or "earthly" kami, in contrast to the heavenly "amatsukami". There are lots of folktales about Okuninushi.

Here's the goshuin I received for my visit.

Ishiura Jinja, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture
Ishiura Jinija is the oldest shrine in Kanazawa. It enshrines Omononushi Okami among others, and is popular with people looking for their soulmate, especially women.
The shrine mascot character, a little white dog, is called Kima-chan.

A slightly different Shinto shrinepost today... This shrine enshrines the Kotodama-no-Okami, that is, Amaterasu Omikami and Susanoo no Mikoto manifesting in literary, artistic, and performing arts.
I got this awesome double-page paste-in goshuin.

Kashihara Jingu, Kashihara, Nara Prefecture. This shrine enshrines Emperor Jimmu and Empress Himetataraisuzu-hime, the legendary first Emperor and Empress of Japan.

It's laid out in a very grand formal symmetrical manner, like it's the setting of a Peter Greenaway or Wes Anderson film.

Appending pic of goshuin, a record of my shrine visit. This one was a paste-in, and one of the fancier ones.

Okazaki Shrine in Kyoto, enshrining Susanowo-no-mikoto, Kushinadahime-no-mikoto and their eight children.
Popular for fertility and safe childbirth.

Temizu procedure here is to dip your hands in the water and rub the black bunny's belly instead of using a dipper (probably a COVID measure).
