In Scotland, we have our own form, a staple of every baker and pie shop. Macaroni cheese in an actual pie casing. It's beautiful.

And, I was taught, growing up, to always put macaroni cheese in the oven. Crispy edges and a firmer texture.

Hope you feel better soon, Jo. This is my slightly murderous calico familiar.

I already had the first volume. Pictured below is my second copy, as my mum nicked my first!

If you're around Banff, North East Scotland on Saturday, and like art, come along to the Artists' Studio Sale at St Mary's Church Hall, AB45 1AB.

Bargain prices for art and materials.

You could also visit our beaches, and local sights, so make it a day, if you want.

Beware. There's a spam text message going around, purporting to be from the Department of Work and Pensions. It's obviously a #phishing attempt, but some people may be caught out.

Send help! Cannot move, as my cat has clambered inside my dressing gown, and gone to sleep.

Had a long lie this morning, but I really do need more tea, and to get a shower, do my messages.

It was a cold, but beautiful, morning in Banff, NE Scotland, today.

I have a framed print of this where the first light of day falls on it, with Dusk on the opposite wall. They're wonderful pieces, and always attract attention frim visitors.

For anyone in the Banff (NE Scotland) area on Sunday 22nd December, there's a nice wee event in the afternoon, at the Vinery - AB45 1AZ.

I'll be reading at the spoken word session. Thankfully, for the ears of those attending, I will not be taking part in the singing performance!

Last month, I went old school, and bought a 67 year-old thing of beauty. I'm using it for first drafts, as I effectively rewrite everything for the second draft anyway. It's helping me avoid Digital Distractions (c), and my output has increased threefold.

If you're in, or around, #Banff, NE #Scotland, this Saturday, drop in to The Forge on Kingswell Lane, for the monthly Ecoforge market.

It's small, but always has lovely jewellery and crafts by local artists, books, plants, and more.

Just helped set up a #Freecycle event at The Forge, in #Banff, NE Scotland.

On unti3 p.m. this afternoon.

Had a wonderful day with friends at 🏳️‍🌈Pride In Moray🏳️‍⚧️, in the lovely town of #Forres, North-East Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Smaller #Pride events can be really good, with a great community feel. Still a good 200 - 300 people whilst I was there. Well-organised too.

We lost this beautiful wee man today, only 18 months old. He just went downhill in 8 weeks, with bladder issues and chronic pain. The vet couldn't find the cause.

You were loved, Shaldon. x

If you see this, post a bridge.

This is my local one, built in 1779, and still used as part of the A98 artery route along the coast road of NE Scotland. Photo credits to Josh King/Press and Journal

I love the difference a harbour wall makes to the state of the water. Even in a storm, the inner harbour remains pretty calm. Today was nothing more than slightly elevated swells.

It was a nice peaceful walk by the sea, getting away from the storms of life at the moment.

Another blustery, but gorgeous day in North-East Scotland. Lovely to be out walking in the fresh air.

I've just finished rewatching #WynonnaEarp over a three week period, and am more than ever convinced of the need for a Christmas Special on the Haught-Earp homestead.

A red-headed sheriff and her wife protecting the town's humans and demons. And, I think I've found the perfect crossover!
