The Myouren temple crew unfortunately feels like the least compelling group in the series to me. They all have more or less the same relationship to Byakuren and despite having known each other for thousands of years, we still don't really know what their dynamics are like between each other.

Genuinely what the fuck is ZUN's problem. Why is he even continuing FDS if we're just going to get this shit. There's like 20 goddamn characters in this arc and he still chooses to hate Satori as much as he can. Serves me right for daring to care about this series I guess.

The best version of the SDM's dynamic is when Meiling is the only normal person in the mansion. She acts more like a human than their actual human. They didn't make her the gatekeeper because she's strong, it's because she's the only one with people skills.

Okina with black hair is honestly a big improvement imo. It was always so weird that she looks so similar to Yukari and Junko. And having the sages with blonde, pink, and black hair would look really nice together. Neapolitan almost.

I bought FMW for my friend who doesn't know anything about touhou and this was his reaction to meeting Aya. He has recently started referring to her as simply "The Bird" with disdain in his voice. I guess this is just a universal experience.
