As @anselacorsino.com says (bsky.app/profile/anse...) referring to the Philippines, egss in Spanish markets can have feathers and worse things. But I understand it's different in the States.
Here in the Philippines, eggs aren't washed before they're put on supermarket shelves either, which is why they don't need to be refrigerated. Washing removes the egg's natural protection that keeps it from going bad without refrigeration.
If I may (trying very had not to be a reply guy), here in Spain we don't wash eggs, and when I searched the reason, it seems that eggshell is porous, and when washed, dirty can enter the egg, so it's better just making sure shell doesn't fall in any meal.

Mi segunda hija dormía todavía peor que la primera y me acabé haciendo la vasectomía porque no podía más. Es una tortura, lo peor que he vivido de ser padre. Siendo madre no lo puedo ni imaginar.

El informe de evaluación de riesgo que elabora el Ministerio de Sanidad más reciente es de marzo de 2025 y da algunas pistas del estado de la situación. La cobertura vacunal ha ido aumentando progresivamente desde 2021 hasta máximos históricos en 2023. Calma.
