Can you at least not lie about us? I don’t really talk about you at all but whenever I have I don’t lie about you. I haven’t been in an open relationship with crazy or whatever. I’m not dating a rapist. I don’t know what such claims are really doing for you.

Please just let things be. Make some new friends and move on from this. You aren’t going to get anything from thinking through any of this any more than you already have. There’s no more revelations or epiphanies. There’s just publicly harassing people on bluesky. You can do better than that.

Friends aren’t unconditional; they’re always conditional. The type of support you wanted for that situation was just not one which that particular group of people could provide. A friend group which allows that type of support against and between its own members just does not function.

That’s always going to be true. You can’t always go to all your friends for everything. It fucking sucks but that’s the deal with befriending someone. When I had considered you my friend I wouldn’t want to hear all about their grudges against you, even if they were close. The same goes for all else.

There’s no acceptable solution. I’m sorry to say, but you just can’t put friends against friends like that, even if it’s at the expense of offering you support. Did it leave you out to dry? I guess it did, but I think you would find yourself in the same situation with any group of people.

Fair. But I don’t think either you nor your friends had the same agreement on this trust you had. I honestly to god don’t think they really “picked a side” until from their perspective you made them do so.

If there’s any conception of a “side” in your mind then I’m afraid you just aren’t going to have many friends, Dolty. It’s more complicated than that. People are more complicated than that. Jesse did nothing wrong for you this whole time but your insistence on these “sides” is what doomed it.
