Additional context: the tutorial assumes you're using a text editor, not an IDE, though I don't know if it also assumes that your text editor has LSP or something that automatically adds the imports.

The use case I had in mind is like resizing but a more expensive operation because it makes use of your history? You manipulate how the history is replayed.

It can be a new layer where the art app replays what you do based on the history. Then you transform the layer.

The difference is, you transform the "movements", not the rastered output of the macro.
