Do it! Making Christmas hats for my swallows a week ago was pure joy and so easy. My sister has now requested one for her ceramic elephant

I don't know which code involves getting lots of updates about cool bugs and ecosystems but I'm happily 'that'-coded too. The hatemongers gotta monger somewhere else.

Most of the people I knew who were hanging to dry in the winter were on low wages and in shift work just trying to get ahead. Most of the times appliances were provided and maintained (poorly) at the discretion of landlords.

The conditions some people have to just put up with are rage-inducing.

I'm more and more convinced that if we can afford companies legal 'personhood' we can do the same for rivers, bogs, trees and other ecological treasures.

Ecocide needs severe penalty imo. Listening to the book 'Green crime' at the moment and I have to take mental health breaks between chapters.

I was very grateful to find that the horses we had let in to graze our back fields had cleared paths to edges of our property that we had not been able to see.

We then quickly realised that the only boundaries keeping them on our land were good manners & a ditch.

I've read about the use of glycerin for preserving plants but haven't taken the leap yet.

Love seeing which dried materials last & was pleasantly surprised to find that the invasive false Virginia creeper I'm removing from the barn makes an amazing wreath base (similar to grapevine bases).

We've been slowly chipping away at the new farmhouse since April.

Curious to see if there are less illnesses in the house with the combination of ventilation/moisture control. 🤞

Took me a while to listen to this. Thanks so much. It was very informative!

It's already in progress of collapsing. The probability of us being able to reverse the currently collapsing AMOC is what climate scientists are discussing the probability of.

So the question is when does the current damage become irreversible.

Another reminder that borders only exist in our minds. I love all the winter visitors!
