Tucson city officials are clearing part of Hundred-Acre Wood, a stretch of park and desert landscape near D-M where dozens of homeless people have made camp.
City employees said they’ve been working for weeks to move people from the area before clearing the camp, removing trash and debris.

Laiken makes a vital point. A story in photos: April 2019, the border along Organ Pipe was marked by “vehicle barriers” and screen panels at Monument hill close to Lukeville, Ariz.
Four years later, in Nov. 2023 nearly 750 asylum seekers huddled in the shadow of a 30-foot high wall after crossing.

Photos from 2018. The guy working the stables at the Nogales station was having a blast. Other guardsmen were running surveillance cameras, fixing BP trucks, and serving as the safety officer for the gun range.

On Thursday, several Tucson Unified Schools held a “walk-in” to celebrate Ruby Bridges. In 1960, Bridges attended a school in New Orleans, forcing its integration years after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education:
