For a lot of senators they have people yelling in one ear about airline delays and food stamps and a bunch of other cascading problems and in the other about health care. Ds who flipped say it’s clear Rs were never going to give them what they wanted.

The last sentence is why I say this. Democrats have no real power, and the Republicans refuse to compromise. So the options are
1) No healthcare and closed government 2) No healthcare and open government
I'm not a fan, but, like ... this is the hand we've dealt ourselves.
I’m so fucking tired of the federal workforce being used as a political football. By all sides. At a bare minimum I want leaders with the courage to get in front of cameras and say that people missing paychecks is less important than particular legislation.
