The next day I was triaging my work email on the iPad leaning back in my chair right next to my work computer. I looked at the computer and back and the device and thought to myself, “We’re going to sell a ton of these.”
These days, I use my iPad more than my laptop. It’s a great device.

I was on the iPad team at that time. The units we had were in “stealth” cases, obscuring the industrial design (bulky plastic). I didn’t think much of the device at the time. When the announcement happened, they told us we could break our devices out of the stealth case.
