And yes I know there are schemes typically associated with particular groups of Tyranids but they don’t have to be that scheme.

The really weird part is that since Warhammer started as a tabletop minis game the Tyranid can canonically be just about any color scheme. They could have easily picked a scheme that contrasted better with the levels they would appear in.
