The west didn't care about Russia one way or the other. They were content to largely ignore them except Russia kept poking them by interfering in their elections and trying to control other sovereign countries in the region. Putin couldn't let go of being a superpower.

They can't elect him this way any more than they could elect another 5-year old child (a literal one). He's not eligible to run for president so he can't be elected; not by the people, not by the electors and not by the House. Also, the word "contingent" isn't in the Constitution.

Biden is so much better than Trump. I think there are a lot of people that match that description. However, it was time to pass the torch. There wasn't anything wrong with Harris compared to Biden. This country just has a problem with a female president. We need to get past that.
