PJM practiced its ability to respond to a system-wide crisis in the recent GridEx exercise, a two-day simulation of emergency events involving grid operators from throughout North America. Read more at PJM Inside Lines.

PJM’s Professional Networking Employee Resource Group recently invited a group of clean energy engineers from Constellation’s Limerick Generating Station for a PJM’s Valley Forge campus to learn about the role of a grid operator.
During the session, PJM reviewed its role as an RTO, described the current energy landscape and supply and demand conditions and discussed how PJM is addressing reliability and resource adequacy for the 67 million people we serve throughout our 13-state and Washington, D.C. footprint.

We thank our governors for holding a thoughtful discussion on the challenges shaping our shared energy future. Meeting the demands of a rapidly changing energy landscape will require solutions that extend beyond any one institution.
