The joke that I'm still repping a Smash Bros. character I'm not that fond of doesn't translate well after 5 years. I'm ThePizzaLovingTurtle and this is a BlueSky account made just in case.
It really is a matter of "do I really wanna buy a new console for these games"?

Honestly I wanted a Switch 2 because a single-player focused Splatoon is what I wanted forever and the new DK game looked cool but it is hard to absolutely recommend between the game prices and paid online.

It's a very "full package " looking game right now.

Still wondering because I love Kirby Air Ride and Riders does look great but I don't want to buy a game at full price I might not play *all* the time.

Still tempted tho. Yeah

Part of me feels that way too. But another part of me is like "eh, someone would bring it up with me if it was that big of a deal".

The whole concept of having to constantly repost my art just so people who *might* like it can actually SEE it bugs me, but ultimately I don't feel too bad after.

I COULD use other sites but all my ongoing(well, not really) stories are on that site. I guess I could just start over again. It just sucks man.

Thinking out loud because I've stayed away from a lot of $60 games because I didn't want to spend lots of money on them + DLC for a game I just thought was ok compared to an indie game I got for a fraction that I thought was a gift from the heavens.

This is more of a first world problem to have over what are luxury items, but I still feel like unless you're just well paid I can't imagine buying every single new video game that releases.

Sure, price points set expectations, but as time has went on it feels like they aren't the best at deciding which games turn out to be masterpieces. Especially in retrospect.

The AAA price point has started to feel more like a "this is the asking price we can get away with" and less "this guarantees the best video games" like I was originally led to believe.
