but to add on top of the lack of gratitude the extra task of soothing their feelings of guilt for not being able to express that gratitude - it's a lot.

this emotional double-dipping leaves us depleted and drained, in constantly attempting to fill their emotional bottomless pit, because people really do need the feedback of gratitude to make it a complete interaction

like, i'm not doing it for the gratitude, but i am not a missionary on assignment

btw in texas, we have a public obscenity law that includes the prohibition of incendiary obscene language - i got his plates.

she is never coming near me again.

they cannot be helped. in every sense of the word. not only that, the worst part of the "cannot be helped" is in the attempts to help them, you end up using up all your resources without them ever replenishing or restocking what they take, so they leave you always worse off for knowing them.

so they make everyone else uncomfortable by sniping or crying until someone changes a plank into a mattress, until all the planks are mattress, and now we are all
sinking, so they jump off and swim to another lifeboat.

they will have a seat on a lifeboat and, plank by plank, change the lifeboat into a mattress, because lifeboats are uncomfortable - but this cannot be accepted by them, this rescue is subpar because the seat is too hard, the temp is too cold so i need lots of furs, the others are rude i need to move

but they are scared to not have a "support net" aka all of us to make them comfortable while we sacrifice ourselves for their comfort.
