Worth a shot. I would still monitor dmseg on both machines and look for issues (overloaded controller, cable issues, whatever.) I would also poke through the OBS logs

A lot of variables to isolate and not a ton of resources for this. You'll have to break it down bit-by-bit until you find the cause

Not sure how the capture card is selecting its source -- just video in -> video out on the main PC's capture card? If using a USB capture card, I would dmesg -wH while testing and check for oddities. USB can be like DNS sometimes

Should note, this will apply a 'capture layer' to like ... a lot of things 😆

You can set it per-application instead of in the env vars. Also I do twitch enhanced 1440p -- but it's single PC (4090). No issues with this setup though
