Because the Media have excused Trumps behaviour for years.. They neglected their duty of holding him to account. Trump commits a daily atrocity to cover up the previous days atrocity and no one calls him out. Oh and also some bright spark gave him immunity.

Been saying this for years NATO is a justification but the real worry for Putin is a successful democracy on his doorstep. Particularly in a former soviet state.Nothing will turn the heads of his people and threaten his powerbase more.

Well to be honest the reasons they are giving it to Machado is due to her resistance to Authoritarianism.... Trump is developing Authoritarianism so it would be a bit hypocritical to give to Trump next year.
