Today, I was mostly debugging why I could not get n8n working as self-hosted on GCP. For the life of me, I could not get it to connect to Cloud SQL in the same project.

Solution: set DB_POSTGRESDB_HOST as 127.0.0.1, not localhost when using the Cloud SQL Proxy. It just would not work with socket.

No wonder OpenAI is in crisis mode. Usually I use Claude, but had to check gpt-5 chat in Cline. After spending an hour with it trying to make a simple static website for a private ChatGPT interface, this was the best it could do
