The EBacc has been scrapped, moving us towards parity between subjects. This is a win for our union, and a win we should be proud of. We need to see action on accountability tools such as Progress 8 from the Government to make parity between subjects a reality.

Some rare good news for trans people – the transphobic amendment to the Data Bill was defeated by a large margin. It would have forced trans people to out themselves virtually daily, putting people's safety and dignity at risk, so it's great to see MPs reject it comprehensively.

Entirely this: I’d add that being serious about climate change is a hygiene factor for many voters. In not a single UK constituency does concern about climate drop below 50% - hitting 68% in Clacton. There’s a debate on the ‘how’ and particularly how to do it fairly but much less on the principle.
