I am currently teaching theoretical computer science and it is driving me insane. You are wasting your own time because you are not learning anything and you are wasting my time because I have to try to parse whatever chatgpt spat out and then justify why I'm falling you to academic standards!!

I left recently (for a country with higher taxes mind) because there was basically no money available for PhD positions, and I'm certainly not considering moving back until I feel welcome in the UK again as a trans woman. It's the right that drove me away.

The books imperial mud and the lost fens are excellent reads about the destruction of one of England's natural landscapes to replace it with farmland.

I'm using a Fairphone 4 and it's decent enough, though I would get either the 5 or 6 now as spare parts will be available longer

It's absurd, I remember when I chose my undergraduate I actively avoided universities that felt too focused on just one area, I'd rather be in a more varied academic environment any day.
