You've done so many amazing things, you should be proud of what a wonderful person you are, even if sadists intentionally make you feel like garbage everyday. Their unfair treatment hurts really bad, but you also have friends who appreciate and support you as you deserve.

why do I emphasize the Manchester-ness of this? because Blue Labour 'thinkers' try to portray themselves as authentic representatives of a neglected Northern working class. But while there's plenty of racism in the North, as anywhere else, there's also a long history of integration and anti-racism.

THIS. So many people seem to think that if they believe they’re “telling the truth”, it’s okay. But bullying is OFTEN truthful. It’s not like calling someone “fatso” stops being bullying if they’re actually overweight, or calling them “crybaby” stops being bullying if they actually cry a lot!
