Oh my god Princess Jayce Talis lives
Jayce attempted to push away, muttering, “Wait—” before Viktor pinned Jayce against his chest and hoisted him off the ground. Jayce let out a startled sound when Viktor shot along the railing through the patches of shadow that cloaked the Undercity. Viktor leapt, and Jayce’s yell dragged out as they arced in the air. Viktor hissed in his ear as the wind whipped around them. “Quiet.” Jayce ducked his head down into the Herald’s shoulder with eyes screwed shut. He gripped the Herald’s cloak. Buildings flew by. Their frosted windows and the tangled roots of pipes stemming from concrete were a blur. Steam burst into their path, leaving a white smear as they passed through it. Threads of magic trailed off the Herald when he used the Arcane to slow their fall. Jayce felt the change in the air, and his eyes flew open. Jayce’s pulse hammered against Viktor, and his childlike smile was illuminated by the light of the Arcane. Viktor hadn’t seen that smile in years. Once again, Jayce was weightless and free.
