Exceeding these limits threatens the foundations of health, food security, and sustainable development. Addressing these risks requires an integrated approach that brings together environmental science, medicine, policy, and social innovation.

Wij, een groep Nederlandse wetenschappers en artsen, roepen het kabinet en de Eerste Kamer op om publiek geld te verschuiven van proeven met apen in biomedisch onderzoek naar beter mensgericht onderzoek. Dat is sneller, betrouwbaarder en diervriendelijker.

Vandaag had ik het genoegen om een lezing te geven aan de Open Universiteit over een onderwerp dat mij na aan het hart ligt: dierzaamheid. We bespraken de emotionele belevingswereld van (huis)dieren, hun ecologische pootafdruk, en de rol die dieren spelen in het duurzaamheidsdebat.
