What I meant is that there are other implications in using islands. It wouldn't be just a switch of syntax.
Astro components have other features beyond SSR like streaming.

Have you considered a way to enable different templating languages?
You'd make the React devs happy with JSX and those like myself who would rather have something even closer to HTML.
