I'm less annoyed at boop, and more at his swear-laden tirade at the Swedish player as he denies it happened at all.

Not sure if this will land for you, but consider making descriptive writeups for the game unlocked as a form of advertising, and actual beta/playtest resources patreon locked. Let supporters participate, let everyone learn.

I love everything about DS except one thing, and unfortunately it's a biggie. I don't like grid based RPGs where I am pushing minis around. I grew up playing D&D in theatre of the mind, and I want to get back to that. DS is still a great game, perfect for some, but not me. I'd play it, but not DM

I think people think it’s daunting, asking them to post paragraphs of description, when “a cat playing a piano” (or whatever) can be enough.

Great game, and the runaway winner for best Amnesiac ability I have seen in any game.
