New Year, getting back to the punk life.
Yeah, I still have to sit with my 12 year old to get her to go to sleep. She just won't hold still and let herself rest. Yes, she will eventually fall asleep on her own, but school starts back tomorrow, and she needs the rest. She can't sleep late tomorrow. Guess I had better check littlest too.

Today I am struck by how grown-up my kiddos already look. Time is passing fast, and I'm happy about it. But sometimes I forget to look at the small details with everything going on every day.

Oh my goodness. My littlest got a STEM advent calendar. She is 8. This child is happily building most of the kits completely on her own. Wiring the projects, building things, and I'm floored. She's enjoying this so much.

Time to retreat into my office [the laundry room where my desk is] and let Stardew Valley scrub the overstimulation out of my system. Shopping for everything with the whole family all afternoon has taken all of my spoons and replaced them with forks. This is an all forks, no spoons week.

Was looking forward to soup today. The package was slightly open, red flag 1. I decided to heat the heck outta it. Then I saw the cheese I added after had a small mold spot, red flag 2. Threw it all away. Emergency desk ramen for lunch it is. RIP broccoli cheddar soup.

I am having too much fun with having glow in the dark nail polish. In regular light, it drives me crazy and I don't like it. But in the dark, I am the happiest NightOwl.

Well I've officially reached "my day is mostly medications" age. Kinda hate it. Would REALLY like to not be on any of them. Started a new one tonight because I'm home from HalLUDOween. Which was epic and I want to still be there with my friends. Maybe next year I can go all weekend. Just 1 VIP show.

Thinking about how I have both my "battle jacket" and a gray denim vest. And now I want to take the vest and turn that hard core punk and keep my "battle jacket" more acceptable punk. Both will have my views displayed, the vest will just be louder about it.

My current nail color has a chip in one nail. I have been holding out changing the color as long as possible so I can get a solid week out of the next color before switching to the nail color I want to wear for the NSP/TWRP show. Still unsure what outfit to wear. Why April?! It's cold downtown!
