Finished reading the entire published works of Abby Jimenez (to date, she has a new one out in April) and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. So many people feeling like they’re too broken to be loved, who all get happy endings.

Sad that the 2020-era greeting “hope you’re doing well, all things considered” is back and we will be stuck with it for a while

Still trying to remember how to social media after adjusting to life after Twitter. As I read this I suddenly remembered the 3am DM conversations I had with people who were also awake. Reaching out in the darkness.
As I chat away on here with people about their middle-aged Friday nights I'm increasingly furious over how obviously Twitter was strangling my feed. This ACTUALLY works as a social media platform. X was just bots, ads and fury. There are PEOPLE here.

I feel like since quitting Twitter back when it was Twitter, I lost the ability to use social media. I’ll start posting something once a day and maybe it will come back to me what we are all doing here besides shouting into the void.

Most people would consider 24 hours of Moby-Dick to be hell on earth. I went to understand the people who call it heaven.

Just read JONATHAN ABERNATHY YOU ARE KIND by @mollymcghee.bsky.social. I love when we are shown what the main character would have done, were he a wiser person, and the poignant moments he would have had with people who would have become his loved ones. Which are followed by his actual choices.

I used to love Twitter but then it became scary. Instagram has pictures and I only like words. So I finally made my way here. 👋
