The station is owned by iHeartMedia (NSQ: IHRT), a company with a $600M+ market cap. Money is the only language they understand, and boycotts work. If you’re disgusted by the ICE ads (and you should be), tell the station management, their bosses, and everyone else that you’ll be tuning out, and why.

While Apple does have some cool features in that vein (fall, crash, & arrhythmia detection; satellite SOS, etc.), their products aren’t advertised as safety- or life-critical and shouldn’t be judged by that criteria.

OTOH, maybe the technological “hand-holding” that Apple pioneered (if not quite perfected, apparently) is the root of the problem.

Because people expect their tech to “just work” they’ll whine incessantly when it doesn’t work perfectly, 100% of the time.

Honestly I feel like “sad” is probably one of the biggest sub-genres of holiday songs.

Heck, even “Last Christmas” by Wham! is a breakup song.

But if you want to be truly devastated, try putting “Christmas Lights” by Coldplay on repeat.

Because people like you exist and some of them like being sad sometimes. (See also: “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”)

I mean, at this point it’s common knowledge and it’s not like they’re trying to hide it from you. 🙄

Anyway, congrats on your 10-win season. I’m sure your teammates are very proud of your contribution. Good luck in the playoffs, I guess?
December 15, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Holy shit you actually cared about a random shit-talking exchange on the internet enough to hold on to this for two whole months?

I’d forgotten about you five minutes after I posted. Jesus.

Do I owe you rent or something for living in your head that long? 😂
December 15, 2025 at 3:52 AM
That’s the next part of the plan.
December 12, 2025 at 3:36 PM
Unfortunately, all your favorites appear to be dead, and hence quite difficult to book for 2026.

Orwell would be shocked
December 11, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Right? Like I just saw a wedding pic someone just posted of a minor MAGA-world celeb and my first thought was hey that dude deserves a [censored] in his fucking [censored] but I couldn’t post that because TOS (not that I ever would anyway because that would be wrong).

Given a choice between reading a physical book and reading the same book in the Libby app, I’ll prefer the latter 99% of the time, solely because of the magical OpenDyslexic font.

I’m not aware of any rigorous scientific studies that prove the superiority of sans serif, but personally I abhor TNR.

They could translate it to Latin and print it on t-shirts.

“I know I’m not supposed to but I want to so I will” should be the official motto to the Tr*mp regime.

Yes. That tends to happen when you flip your Dodge Viper at high speed.

He now claims that was God telling him to stop drinking and drugging. 🙄

On an iPhone, hitting the side button 5x (or pressing & holding the side button + volume) temporarily disables Face ID.

In the US, you CAN be compelled to unlock your phone with biometrics, but you CAN’T be compelled provide your password.

If cops seize ur phone, you can erase it using FindMy.

Again, the issue is NOT the people who legitimately need accommodations. The problem is the people who are gaming the system, which ruins it for those who actually need it.
December 9, 2025 at 5:28 AM
Hi! ADHD’er, here! 🙋‍♂️

Trust me, I understand and empathize with those who NEED accommodations.

My issue is with those who would abuse the system. And there are A LOT of people who are abusing the system.

You most have missed this paragraph:

“The DAS program allows pass-holders and their immediate family members to…get into an expedited line that typically takes about 10 minutes... DAS guests never have to wait in normal standby lines, which on the most popular attractions can be two hours or more.
