I nearly just stepped over this leaf like so many others on the ground at this time of year. Not sure why it caught my eye, perhaps because it was all alone… But once you look closely there is so much to see that is beautiful here.

Autumnal vibes. We call this tree Steve—named after the lovely book Our Tree Named Steve. Giving names helps build connections; now, every time we visit the woods, my girls want to check in on all the trees they've named.

We loved joining our community at Common Farm recently. Sitting on the edge of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, it lets people reconnect with nature, enjoy the benefits of fresh air, wildflowers, berries for picking and all other shades of abundant wildlife on their doorstep.
