If you are well-connected and follow what's happening on trans Bluesky absolutely yes

I'm not saying it as a wholly unique point, more just emphasizing a falacy that might be underlying some of the resistance here in case the thread is seen by people who are less online (whatever the odds)

@parkermolloy.com and @chrisgeidner.bsky.social have somewhat different niches with their publications, but they are excellent at what they do and cover trans issues very well

Something it's also worth noting is that just because EITM is covering something or putting out more articles, doesn't necessarily mean those things are necessarily that significant

In which case you shouldn't try point to parallel coverage, because it wasn't needed in the first place

I also recommend following these people on Bluesky - as a trans person, hearing different commentary helps a lot

I can deal with normal anxiety (allegedly), but the possibility that I can't even tell the difference between everyone hating me and being not good enough for some arbitrary corporate standards often makes me want to give up trying to say things and go back into read-only mode

the auto-hide reply / down ranking thing makes my anxiety worse

in addition to all the normal things that might be indicated by being ignored (unfunny, weird, dumb, bad, etc) and other concerns about existing on social media, I also get to worry about if I'm being judged by a fucking AI

not to imply this is a hang up other people have, but just to say that doing something "irresponsible" in a safe way is actually okay and kind of the definition of being responsible

years ago I talked to my therapist about how irresponsible it feels to stay up until 4am hyper focused on something when I have time and she asked me

"did anything bad happen?"
"no... maybe in some minor ways, but not really"
"then you were a responsible adult. adults are allowed to make choices"
