I personally think about it like this: Is learning this going to be "good" (enjoyable, pay-off in the future, retention realistic)? If so, I do it myself. Hacking alignments in LaTeX, for me, does not fall in this category and I would also use LLMs for that.

But in that case the limit wouldn't be well-defined, right (since you can take the sequence identical to the point). Unless you restrict yourself to 1d functions and take (strict) left and right limits, of course.
