Echo & Maya

One year ago today, I drove to Chester, PA, to pick up this poor pup who had been found roaming the streets, so she didn’t end up in a shelter. It wasn’t meant to be permanent, but we fell in love with her. One year later she’s a happy spoiled girl. Here are some pics of her Gotcha day.

Here Echo (lying down) is with Maya. Maya is 55% Mal and 45% Dutchie according to her Embark DNA test. She looks fierce but she is the sweetest, kindest dog. She puts up with a lot from Echo and Bean (my third Mal, and Echo's biological sister).

What haven’t they destroyed? Every bed, electrical cord and crate. Just this morning Echo succeeded in her weeks’ long effort to disassemble the Travall divider in my SUV so she could jump into the cabin with me. This is the main culprit:

My Maya Bear. A year ago this poor pup was on the streets, apparently lost. A kind soul took her in on a cold night but couldn’t keep her. We took her in thinking we’d find her owner. No such luck, but we fell in love with her so she found a happy new home. Her gotcha day is next week.

My Echo as a baby.

I became a citizen to vote in the 2024 election. I was thrilled when she became the nominee and my daughter and I proudly voted for her.

This girl was dumped on the streets near a highway approximately sometime in November. She has been with us for almost a year and thriving. Her name is Maya.
