That sounds like me in many ways. I never played through Pokémon Sun (the original) but do enjoy the series. I need to dive back into Faxanadu for sure! It's so good but I haven't given it the time it deserves.

They do not. FES, Golden, and Royal were all standalone releases.

Pitfall II still blows my mind with its in-game music (as in while playing the game.) That was not particularly common for a home console at the time and the tune is still one of my favorites.
