It’s pretty mind-blowing that I can ask my little wrist supercomputer to close my garage door, and instead of someone having me committed… the door just closes.

Then I can ramble at my glass-slab pocket supercomputer about that, and it writes it down, then sends it to a bunch of randos worldwide.

Yeah I know people say anxiety is bad, but mine has just been collecting all the possible things that can go wrong so far. Once it has an exhaustive catalog of every possible mishap, it’ll move on to suggesting solutions and then you better watch out.

Started playing around with @tauri.app last night to build a little custom budgeting app. So of course I starting yak shaving, learning 2 new frontend frameworks, instead of just sticking to what I know and getting it done 🤦‍♂️

Though, learning is always fun, so still a win.

@scalzi.com, just started reading Old Man’s War last night. Only 15 pages in (look, I stated reading far too late at night, ok?!), but loving it so far. Can’t wait to dig in properly! Or, fall asleep reading it too late every night, progressing 2 paragraphs at a time. Still…
