If you'd like outside, you'll need a shady spot today. As already suggested, northern end of Barangaroo is nice and not too far from Metro. Mrs Macquarie's Chair nice too. Skittle Lane (King St) is good for an hour, but also State Library and Art Gallery could be good options.

The plan is to add a small microcontroller coupled with a GPS receiver to perform as a “never have to set it” clock that runs off a USB source. I have a few more PCBs in reserve along with some blue and yellow LEDs.

but had the uncanny knack of laying all the bits out for others to see. Root cause identification followed and responsible parties set to work. We'd narrowed the search, pinned the alleged perp, correlated the evidence, proved the case and delivered a fix thanks to someone who didn't know tech.

Thanks for sharing - it's a great read. The last time I had official responsibility for fixing work IT things that were broken was last century. I vividly recall one situation that was impacting a core system at a retail bank. The person that moved the needle most was not a "technologist" per se,
