They'll dump him next year after the May elections. Of course that may not help as they are likely to replace him with someone of similar views (the Labour party now appears to be scared to be left wing) but at least they might have a bit more energy, enthusiasm, and engagement than Starmer.

UK numbers for year to June 2025: 413,921 which was 4% fewer than the previous year. I think the UK has been making the environment less welcoming too, just not to the level of the US (yet).

It's one of the most coherent voter bases of an elected government because it is one of the smallest, something they appear to have forgotten.

The vast majority of immigration is the type that comes with a visa granted by the government, including work visas. If immigration numbers are a problem reduce the number of visas, that will have more impact than this vile behaviour targetting refugees.

He's doing a good job recruiting for the Greens and Plaid in the upcoming Welsh election. It'll be slightly odd to see a Welsh Government without Labour playing a role.

Government attitude does mainly seem to be "I'm all right" in a vain attempt to lure voters away from the party with the "I'm all the way right" view.

It doesn't make sense for MPs who want him gone to push him out now. The May council and Welsh elections next year will produce dreadful results for Labour; anyone smart wanting to replace him will want the blame for that to go to Starmer rather than them.
