Super Mario Bros. It's the game that took me from liking games, to loving them. It's simple to pick up, with a fun aesthetic that holds up amazingly well.

Super Mario 64. Growing up with 8/16 bit consoles, the leap to 3D was truly mind blowing. That fact they got so much right, straight out the gate is insane. My unpopular opinion is that making the camera a playable character was a stroke of creative genius, even if he was annoying.
