Wish I had made it to the U Street location to get the half-smoke breakfast, but National hooked me up for my fix.

Made a trip back to Old DC this week and I have to say I've got a lot of FOMO feels. What a dynamic and amazing city! Need to visit more often.

Oh look. George Will bolsters an Institute for Justice case. So weird 🙄The Supreme Court made the right call about the wrong house

Opinion | The Supreme Court made the right call about the wrong house
The court unanimously ruled that the occupants of a house mistakenly raided by the FBI can sue.

Honestly, I think SCOTUS will try to sidestep this issue of what's an 'emergency'. But, you can't have a peaceful society that has to do everything on an emergency basis.

For Trump, seizing emergency powers has become central to governing
President Donald Trump has declared emergencies in various areas. He says strong action is needed; critics say the emergencies don’t exist.

This stupid travel ban is a distraction from thr fact that the Big Beautiful Abomination is a disaster on wheels.

Thought provoking interview. Seafood offers such a great frontier of tastes and textures. Ive heard that green crab are King inroads here in the PNW, but I haven't seen much in the way of crab picking culture... yet.

Why Seafood Restaurant Menus Need to Change
A New England environmentalist is working to create a “climate winners” consumer market for new fish and crab species migrating into local waters due to climate change.

Does it matter if the Nasdaq was up 12.16% today given that it's still down from a week ago? This wasn't fixing things, these are traders taking advantage of volatility. If Trump continues by "winning the daily headlines," he will continue to erode confidence in the US Bond and destroy our economy.

We are walking a fine line right now with the Trump administration barely respecting the judicial branch. If Grassley's tariff bill even gets close to a veto proof passage, we'll finally be in a true constitutional crisis because Trump will ignore it.
April 4, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Which will last longer, a head of lettuce or Trump's idiotic tariffs? Personally, I bet we will see some of these new tariffs rolled back by Tuesday afternoon.

It's hard to believe that there are people in America who are fine with the idea that their government threw a citizen in a foreign jail and now can't and won't try to rescue him.
April 2, 2025 at 2:04 AM
Trump is a moron. Can't be said often enough! Bullying tariffs can only work for as long as the American people will pay the duty. Frankly, I think Canada, the EU, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Japan need to stand up to this bully. He needs to lose for his vulnerabilities to show.

Is it just me or does it seem kind of nuts that we're about to get slammed with a crazy storm? #seattleWX #PNWwx

There's a magical dusting of pretty snow here in Spokane. It's going to be a great day up on the mountain. #telemark

Just landed in Spokane, WA so I can take my PSIA Level 1 Telemark exam at 49 North tomorrow. Wish I had a little more time to stick around for Telebration.

If I were a Democratic Senator, I think I would not vote for cloture until the Continuing Resolution was limited to 30 days. Congress needs to return to regular order by passing meaningful budgets on-time and in bipartisan fashion.

Great Saturday taking my Bishop Chedi Telemark skis up to Paradise at Mt Ranier National Park. Big thanks to the #Mountaineers for leading a great Back Country class!

I heard during Obama and Biden years: Businesses are holding back because there is too much 'uncertainty'. When it was Trump 45, I heard about businesses rushing to invest, but the growth and jobs looked pretty much the same as Obama and Biden. On/Off again tariffs? When will big biz say ENOUGH?
March 6, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Why do people call it "Trump Two Point Oh"? As if it is some kind of improvement? Seeks like just "Trump 2" is enough or a "Trump 47"...and yes, I thought totally realize the guy is truly a complete ZERO!

There are only a few times in my life that I've made an effort to attend a protest and wave a sign. But it is now time for good men and women to demonstrate our opposition to the current government. I'll be at the Jackson Federal Building today from 4pm to 6pm.

A little overcast today, but had a great time teaching alpine never-evers on my tele skis. Only one person asked about why I had to bend down to clip in my bindings. #SummitAtSnoqualmie #Telemark
