I guess for me some sort of vague notion of self promotion? I don't really know though, and their algorithm seems to expose me to strangers who disagree/hate whatever banal opinion I might have.

Yeah, I agree it seems weird. But I based it on a poll that had a faceoff format, so I don't think people could have exactly missed them. But I agree, it is a tough cutoff.
