That's an accusation you could make against almost all parties. Once someone's wealth gets into the hundreds of millions, they will never be able to spend it quicker than they earn it. Being a billionaire is just comparing dicks for greedy f*ckers.

There is investment, but the cost of the electricity is distorted by the lower VAT rate for domestic power.

I also think there's an argument for reducing VAT on public charging to the level of domestic power, but the money will need to be found first.

But the per mile payment is a lot cheaper than the equivalent fuel duty.

Small cars have always been lighter than big cars. However EVs are heavier than their comparative ICE versions. I also have a problem with number and size of SUVs but that's another issue to deal with.
