With programming, I can regularly get fixated on a problem for days. To the point when I go to a social event all I want to do is leave and code.

The rate limiting situation made me care exponentially more about getting involved in public alternatives. Elon buying twitter didn't have any direct impact on me, but so much of my income is linked to being able to see a bunch of social data and I didn't realize the gravity

Crypto volatility has been pulling a lot of my attn lately, but in between I've been working on my first 'engine' since my last project. Its involved mostly reading a ton of rust and typescript. 1 on 1 sessions with GPT-4. Am seeing light at the end of the tunnel now.

I got tired of my plug. Did some research and found they're basically selling actual THC in dry states now. The loophole is gummies having some % by dry weight, so they they make them larger than normal.

Haven't been on here in months.
The thing about tweeter is, if you are talking your bag, u need as many people to hear as possible.
And crypto industry needs that dialog to keep even builders engaged.

TLDR is rather than working about the technical skills needed to build something, just take the lead and make sure you have explicit control. Even if it means you need to raise solo.
May 4, 2023 at 6:34 PM
A lot of devs in crypto get excited about how they can throw together a project and make money with 0 friction and have full control.

What I’ve learned is that, if they are capable of building something huge solo, they’re likely too autistic to lead a team, esp if it’s consumer facing

I would have taken fediverse just to have something different. Been on twitter since like 2009. This seems like more of a step up though so maybe it'll work this time.

imo, wokeness in general is losing strength. part of the reason so many people are turning to international media for entertainment. a lot of 'woke' things make perfect sense but unfortunately ignorance spices up life.

I got to work next to a (grounded) 20y experience web dev for a year and ask as many questions as I wanted because he needed them ideas from me. That was a crazy crash course.
